My Tears
Tears come unbidden day and night;
They are like food; except without delight.
The heart is heavy with deepest sorrow;
The fear is that there may be no tomorrow.
Tears are like words of the Soul;
There is a deep longing to be whole.
Tears must lead me back to God;
Comfort can be found in the LORD.
Many doubt my trust in the LORD;
They ask, “Where is your God?”
I have no words to give as an answer;
But my faith in You will not falter!
Tears may have been my food day and night;
But I am not forsaken; I trust with all my might.
My Tears, the LORD, will behold with love;
He will send comfort from Heaven above!
