There are many hard struggles in life;
There is weakness felt amidst strife.
The heart feels faint and fearful amidst grief;
It so desires to find much-needed relief.
But where may hope and strength be found?
It seems as if there is nothing but evil around!
The problems of life do not seem to go away;
And the weight of sin causes much decay.
Hope lies in the great goodness of the LORD;
There is wonderful mercy in our great God.
There must be an exercise of faith by the heart;
Surely much grace and strength He would impart.
The goodness of the LORD would be revealed;
To those who trust, His mercy is not concealed.
To those who practise the fear of the LORD;
They would experience the goodness of God.
