The heart struggles so much to be at peace;
The fear of illness and death brings unease.
The LORD bids us to learn how to be still in heart;
For He is God and much grace He will impart.
The heart has to learn how to exercise trust;
The LORD can give a peace that will truly last.
The challenge is to look up to the LORD in heaven,
Till He grants the much-needed enlightenment.
The LORD is indeed our Refuge in time of trouble;
He is our Strength and Help and we don’t need to grumble.
With the LORD there is great and awesome power;
We may trust Him even in the most darksome hour.
Fear that causes the heart to be unrest must be dispelled;
The heart is challenged to seek Faith that can excel.
As we learn to trust the LORD, our God Most High;
To the righteous, our merciful God will draw nigh.
