There is every reason to rejoice in the Lord for the righteous;
The list of reasons why we may rejoice in Him is endless!
We often take His Word given too much for granted;
His Word has power to give life and joy to all He created!
The eye of the Lord is lovingly cast on His own;
He watches them tenderly from Heaven’s throne.
He will deliver their souls from dreaded death;
He will lovingly sustain them with His breath.
Our souls must learn to wait on the Lord patiently;
He will keep us safe from all evil most faithfully.
He will grant us mercy and He will also give hope;
With all these blessings, we can surely more than cope!
The Lord is our help and our shield at all times;
This is a great truth that is gloriously sublime.
May we find reasons always to rejoice in God!
Praise from our lip will be beautiful to the Lord!
