A great heart of love for God is possible to develop,
If there is knowledge of what this love envelopes.
“I will love You, O LORD…” was the Psalmist’s cry,
Through faith in God his plans in life did not go awry.
There were many lessons he needed to learn in life,
One of them was to realize that life can be rife.
How does one cope with the problems that come our way?
The answer lies in learning how to find strength always.
Strength may be found in the Lord our Rock and Fortress,
The chosen imagery was meant our hope in God to buttress.
Strength comes in knowing that God is our great Deliverer,
Over all life’s enemies and problems, He is our conqueror.
Strength comes when we learn to exercise our trust in the Lord,
He is our Shield, our Salvation, our Stronghold, our very great God,
Our part is to call upon the name of the Lord through grace,
He will respond and with open arms draw us close in His embrace.
