From the very first day you were born love filled my soul,
I saw you as a special blessing that made my joy whole.
When I first carried you in my arms, I made a special promise,
I will do my part as Gong Gong to pray, God’s blessings to release.
As I hold you in my arms today, deeply saddened because you are ill,
You are so frail, you are pale and weak and I must seek God’s will.
Tears come as I pray and as I put an ice pack on your head,
I battle doubts and fears, I am driven to seek the Lord instead.
The fever has taken a great toll on your health and I am deeply sad,
I am here this week to help look after you, and for this I am glad.
I remember what the Lord Jesus once said to Jairus, “Only believe.”
My heart is driven to pray with tears till from this fever you are relieved.
To see you smile again and to be that happy little girl is my request,
I will not rest, and I will seek the Lord till He is moved to bless.
With a heart of gratitude I bow and give thanks to the Lord,
He has heard prayers and the fever has broken, “Thank God!”
