Bad news comes and the heart is instantly sad,
Sleep is impossible; nothing makes us glad.
Faith from deep within searches for God as the Hiding Place,
His lovingkindness and His mercy must be found through grace.
In prayer and through His word the heart finds hope again,
The heart learns another lesson through this time of pain.
God is a certain Hiding Place for all to find,
He will be found when our hearts to Him incline.
On our knees, in faith and deep humility,
We pour out our hearts, trusting in God’s ability.
He will grant His grace and favour once again,
We will rise from our knees with a glad refrain.
God is our glorious Shield, we must believe,
Great peace of mind will we, from Him, receive.
The trials of life will always try our soul,
We need to remember, that God will keep us whole.
